About Our Beliefs
About Our Worship Services
About Our Community
What does your church believe about Scripture?
We believe that the Bible is God's word and that it provides everything that we need in order to know God and His desire for our lives.
What do you believe the Scriptures teach about God?
We believe that there is one holy, triune God who has created everything that exists. Because mankind is trapped under the curse of sin, our heavenly Father planned from all eternity to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to be born of a virgin, live a perfect life, and die for our sins on the cross. Jesus was raised from the dead and now sits enthroned in heaven, upholding all things by His word, but He has sent the Holy Spirit to call people to faith in God and give us strength to persevere in this broken world. We eagerly wait for the day in which Christ will return, ushering in the new heavens and the new earth, when all of His followers from every corner of the earth will live in perfect peace and holiness in the presence of our God.
Do you hold to any creeds or confessions?
We affirm the historic creeds of the church, the Westminster Confession of Faith, Shorter Catechism, and Larger Catechism. You may also refer to our statement of faith and the official website of the PCA.
What is the vision of your church?
Filled to overflowing by the love of Christ, we will build a healthy church, committing the resources God has given us to advance Christ's kingdom, flooding Willow Grove and the surrounding communities with the gospel of grace and reconciliation.
Where are you located?
Our church is located at 405 N. Easton Rd., Willow Grove, PA 19090. Our sanctuary is the building on the left when you enter the parking lot. VIEW MAP
When is your worship service and how long does it last?
Our worship services begin promptly at 11:00 am and typically run 1 hour 15 minutes in length.
What do I do if I'm hearing impaired?
We have special headphones units available in the lobby of the Sanctuary. Please speak with an usher if you need assistance.
Is your facility accessible?
Our sanctuary, education building, and gym all are accessible and have accessible restrooms.
What is your worship like?
Our blended worship style makes use of creeds, hymns and songs from ancient and modern times. With God's help, and by His grace, we desire to communicate the tender love of Christ to others and use the gifts He has given us.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code. Wear whatever you would feel comfortable in to worship and rejoice in our great God with us!
What are the sermons like?
The sermons are usually between 25 to 35 minutes in length. Our preachers customarily work through entire books of the Bible over the course of a few months in order to show the varied themes in Scripture, bringing out the heart of the gospel and showing its relevance to our daily life. We also have series on specific topics from time to time. Feel free to listen to recent sermons!
When do you serve communion?
We serve communion during our morning worship on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month.
Is there anything for children during the service?
Children ages 4 to 1st grade are able to participate in a majority of the worship service. They are dismissed to the Education Building immediately before the sermon where they are able to enjoy a more age-appropriate lesson.
What about my baby/toddler?
Calvary provides nursery care during our morning worship service for infants to 3 year olds in the Education Building, which is the building on the right as you drive into the parking lot. All nursery workers go through regular background checks.
Is there a pastor available to speak with me?
Our pastors and elders are able to speak with anyone following our morning worship and are happy to provide spiritual guidance, prayer, or more information about Christianity. You may also call the office to make an appointment.
Do you offer Sunday School?
Our Sunday school classes meet at 9:30 and are preceded by a time to enjoy coffee and conversation. We offer classes both for adults and for children of all ages. Sunday School is held in the Education Building, which is on the right as you drive into the parking lot."
What ministries do you have that I can get plugged into?
